5 Hats Lunch: Momofuku Seiōbo x Yarri presented by Australian Good Meat
|Saturday 16th November 12:00 pm||$265||Book|
Prepare for a Caribbean-Australian party like no other when Dunsborough’s hottest restaurant welcomes one of the world’s most singular, cooking talents.
“That this incarnation of Momofuku Seiōbo exists in Australia makes us a lucky country indeed.” So said the New York Times about the imaginative, modern and undeniably delicious cooking of Paul Carmichael, the Barbados-born chef and general of the Australian outpost of David Chang’s Momofuku Empire. Drawing on his own family traditions and food traditions from across the Caribbean, Carmichael is cooking some of the most unique food on the planet.
While Carmichael has thrilled diners at previous Gourmet Escapes, this lunch will be his most intimate event yet. Cooking alongside like-minded food renegade Aaron Carr of Dunsborough’s Yarri, Carmichael will serve a tropical feast inspired by the South-West landscape and ingredients. The delicious meaty menu will be served alongside wines from Snake & Herring, another producer that draws plenty of inspiration from this unique corner of the world.
