Located in the heart of Pemberton’s southern forests, Thella Estate was identified early by Western Australian viticulture pioneers as one of the best patches of dirt in the state for growing Chardonnay Pinot Noir & Merlot. It is the complex and specific interaction of climatic conditions here that creates distinctly precious produce off the vine and from the earth: Below & Above.

The Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot are taken from naturally low yield vines and uses only the best five per cent of the 34 hectares under vine, creating a distinctly ‘small batch’ of precious wine. 

Today the Estate’s taps into the region’s culinary mystique with a secondary crop of French Oak and English Oak trees that will produce a large, commercial quantity of rare, black truffles.
