Christina Pickard is a professional wine writer, educator and presenter. In her current role as Contributing Editor for Wine Enthusiast magazine in the U.S., Christina covers Australian and New Zealand wine. She tastes and reviews around 1500 wines annually from both countries.
For 11 years, Christina lived in London where she contributed articles to publications including Decanter, Harpers, The Drinks Business and Imbibe, and was an active presenter, appearing semi-regularly on the UKTV Good Food Channel’s flagship show, Market Kitchen. Christina co-hosted one of the wine world’s early podcasts, The Crush: Wine Talk Unfiltered.
After London, Christina moved to her husband’s hometown of Perth, Australia. There she contributed to Gourmet Traveller Wine and James Halliday’s Wine Companion, spent several years penning the wine section for Western Australia’s top lifestyle glossy, Scoop Magazine, and founded the School of Wine. Christina and her Aussie-born husband, baby and dog moved from Fremantle to New York’s Hudson Valley in mid-2015. Stateside, Christina has written for publications including Food & Wine and Afar.
