Kenny McHardy, head chef and owner of Manuka Woodfire Kitchen hails originally from New Zealand, where his cooking career began at the age of 14. Kenny’s career has taken him from the Michelin starred kitchens in London, to the celebrated Two Hatted Walters Wine Bar in Melbourne. On returning to Perth, he fronted the kitchens of The Garden in Leederville, Coco’s Restaurant in South Perth, The Red Herring in East Fremantle and Executive Chef of Due South in Albany.
Kenny’s reputation has continued to excel with the success of Manuka Woodfire Kitchen and his commitment to cooking with fire alone. His creative flair and a passion for working with only the best quality fresh produce sourced from Western Australian farmers and growers has seen Manuka recently awarded coveted spots in the Gourmet Traveller and WA Good Food Guide Top Restaurants awards.
