Biography

Born and raised in Devon, the idyllic seaside town on the Southwest Coast of England, Chef de Cuisine Kirk Westaway has over a decade of international culinary experience – of which nearly half has been cultivated at JAAN, an internationally celebrated restaurant that was decorated with its first Michelin star in 2016, under the leadership of Westaway.

As Chef de Cuisine since July 2015, Westaway has a deep regard for seasonal produce, the very same philosophy that has set JAAN apart for its refined produce-driven cuisine. Having grown up surrounded by Devon’s abundant bounty of fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as some of the United Kingdom’s best dairy farms, his appreciation and respect for produce runs deep.
