Western Australia might be known for it’s spectacular sunsets over the ocean, but there are also breath-taking coastal sunrises to catch for those who are up early enough! It’s the perfect way to start your morning.
The hard part is getting up early enough, so we’ve taken care of doing the research and scoping out the best locations to catch a Perth sunrise.

1. South Perth Foreshore, South Perth
For technicoloured skies over the Swan River for those South of Perth CBD

2. Hillarys Boat Harbour, Hillarys
Watch the sunrise over a yacht yard is a spectacular sight to behold. Best part is once the sun’s up, head over to Dome (opens at 6am) nearby to grab a coffee and some breakfast.

3. Trigg Beach, Trigg
See the pink hues fill the skies as the sun rises over the water. There’s also plenty of beachside cafes to grab a coffee to enjoy watching the world start up.

4. Rottnest Island, Rottnest
Although it’ll be tricky to get a boat out to the island early enough for a sunrise, it’s highly recommended that you get up early enough for one if you’re staying on the island for a getaway. Pinkies Beach is your best vantage point but you can catch the sunrise from anywhere on the island.
