The Unique Forests of Margaret River

You cannot visit Margaret River Region without growing a great appreciation for the striking forestry that surrounds the region. With the conservation and copious amounts of unique and diverse species of flora and fauna, it is very clear why this region is the only spot in Australia acknowledged in the top 10 bio-diversity hot spots in the world.

As a region it is home to some very unique species from the North where the only pure tuart forest in the world stands stretching all the way to the south where Karri the third tallest tree species in the world stands.

The Indian Ocean is enclosed by the limitless beauty and variety of the Leeuwin- Naturaliste National Park envelops the region on the western edge.  The first-class wine and agriculture region yield to woodlands, jarrah and marri forests on the east.

You will not be spoilt for choice with plenty of scenic spots which range from stunning seascapes to tranquil forest valleys. It is not a hard task to be amazed by the incredible locations through all the wonderful lookouts, walk trails, cycle paths and mountain bike trails with easy access.
